History

FECEA UAE was conceptualized in July 16, 2008 when 14 Engineers headed by Engr. Jethroefel E. Ramboyong gathered together and discussed the opportunity of establishing a Foreign Chapter. The Founders are working in one company(Etisalat) and they understand the significance of forming the Electronics Engineers organization. Consequently, they all concurred with the establishment.

After eight days of 'word-of-mouth' and other form of publications, they hold their first Officers' Election on July 24, 2008. This was attended by 32 Engineers from six (6) different companies namely Etisalat, Alcatel, Erricson, Dolphin Energy, Abu Dhabi Media Company and Habib Trading. They elected officers are known for their integrity and they already built good reputation especially in the company they are currently employed.

It is also imperative that all Filipino Organization be registered in the Philippine Embassy for legality and support. Thus, FECEA UAE complied by presenting the required documents. Indeed, it was an honor when the organization received the Acknowledgment Letter from the Philippine Embassy on August 19, 2008 followed by their introduction to the Filipino Community.

On September 25, 2008 – the President/Chairman of IECEP UAE made a courtesy call to IECEP National in Manila and attended a scheduled Board of Directors Meeting. It was also during time that their request to become a Foreign Chapter has been granted. They are now recognized as an official Foreign Chapter that enables them to carry the name IECEP UAE Chapter. As of the moment, the total number of members registered in IECEP National is 116.

The Officers of IECEP UAE Chapter vowed to protect, assist and alleviate the welfare of the members and promote, institutionalized and enhance professionalism among its members and its peers. This is shown with the series of seminars, programs, activities, outreach programs and participation with the different Filipino Community Organizations' activities. Through these, the organization was able to build their name in FilCom and the members were given opportunity to socialize and associate themselves with the different organization in the Community.
